The Devil's Prominade - Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma Border

Dating back to the time when Native Americans made their way westward through the Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma border area in the 1830s, there have been reports of a strange light that has been seen along a stretch of road.  This is a very unique occurrence in that it has been investigated by many, but still remains a mystery to this day.  Read the full story>>

Lilac Hill Mansion (Morrison Mansion) - Fayette, Missouri

The A.W. Morrison Mansion was built in 1832 by Alfred W. Morrison who was a local politician, farmer, and slave owner in Fayette, Missouri. He held several political offices in the town including sheriff and judge. The brick mansion he constructed mostly using his slaves and resources found nearby, is today listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is more commonly known as the Lilac Hill Mansion.  It is also well known for being haunted by one of it's former inhabitants.

Spirit of the Ozark Madonna - The Ozark Mountains - South Eastern Missouri

In the 1930s deep in the Ozark Mountains, there lived a young woman named Laurie May Maumsey.  She and her husband lived in a mountain shack along with their new baby. One dark night, her husband who was in a drunken stupor, was angry at her for some reason.  Perhaps the baby was crying and would not stop.  Some speculate that it was over money.  Whatever the cause of his irritation, he threatened to kill her and the baby.
